I’m back home after nearly three weeks of running around Western USA with my two children… We started and ended in Los Angeles (Hollywood, Santa Monica, Malibu and Venice beaches mostly) with essentially a loop completed in-between going through e.g. San Diego, Las Vegas and San Francisco taking in sights such as Antelope Canyon, the Grand Canyon, Bryce Canyon, Zion National Park, Death Valley and Yosemite along the way. Now need to recover from the jet lag and come back down to reality!
I don’t think I’ve missed a huge amount of news while I’ve been away but will check through all of my news feeds over the next few days to see and post anything relevant.
As I was with my kids and they were the reason why I was in America (I promised them when their father died to take them and I’ve been waiting for my daughter to be a little older so we could go on an organised tour as I really wanted them to experience the wonderful nature and also towns on offer rather than a single town package- I’ve driven all over the US when my husband was alive and had him for company but really didn’t want to drive on my own with two kids in tow), I didn’t get to do much RHCP related stuff (apart from meeting two amazing friends of mine who live in the LA area and who spoiled me totally with RHCP gifts!) apart from a short walk down Sunset Blvd from our hotel in West Hollywood to The Rainbow Bar and Grill as the kids knew I wanted to see that again (didn’t go inside this time because of them) because of Blackie’s book and also because I have a lot of fond memories of being there with my husband and just wanted to see the place for old time’s sake. So here are a few pics of things that have some RHCP relevance I passed on that walk down Memory Lane and there are a few pics of Malibu too as we spent a couple of hours on the beach at Point Dume there.

That looks like some holiday. I’ve visited some of those places you mention and it’s a wonderful part of America. Glad you had a good time. Did you hang around Malibu hoping to see Anthony? Ha ha that would have been something!
Thanks 🙂 Well, when the invite for coffee didn’t arrive in time…!!! I did check out every surfer I saw just in case! Hahaha… It would have been very cool but I knew we wouldn’t; it was more a bit of time on the beach and for the kids to see another part of CA- driving along the PCH is always fun and guessing how many millions the houses you pass are worth!
Did you drive past Anthonys house? Sounds like a great holiday!!
It was fun! Would love to go back. I wasn’t driving (coach tour).
