RHCP’s bassist, Flea, has given a brief interview to Rolling Stone- you can read the whole article HERE– and in it he gives details of this year’s Silverlake Conservatory of Music fundraiser (Anthony Kiedis is on the Board of Directors).
It will take place on September 9th at the Conservatory itself as the new building gives them enough space. It will also feature an art auction with works by Thomas Houseago, Alison Mosshart, Shepard Fairey, Ed Ruscha and Jonas Wood plus musical performances from Randy Newman, Anderson .Paak and, of course, the Red Hot Chili Peppers:
“We play it almost every year,” Flea says. “This year we’re going to play acoustic and we’re going to be joined by the children’s choir from the school.”
Is this fundraiser by invitation only; or can the public buy tickets? Will donate regardless.
Thanks for the news!
Invitation only according to the email I got back from them when I enquired.
